Would you use a medicine that had been tested on animals?

FRAME does not give a definitive answer to this question because it is very subjective. Individual people draw the line between what is, and what is not, acceptable in different places.

Some people would choose not to take a headache tablet if many animals had been killed in its production, but the same people might take tablets, also tested on animals, if they thought that they would cure a life-threatening disease.

Many people make the personal choice not to take medicines that have undergone animal testing, but in reality that can mean the choice between life and death. Most people would struggle to adhere to their moral principles in such circumstances.
