Half marathon nets FRAME £355
People lined the streets to cheer on the 10,000 athletes who ran the 13-mile route from Birmingham city centre to Bournville and back.
Hazel’s time was a very respectable 1hr 59mins 45sec and she was ranked 4,214th out of 10,042. She set herself a target of two hours and so was delighted to reach the finish within that limit. It was the first time she has attempted a half marathon.
She said: “This was a real personal challenge for me. I want to thank everyone who sponsored me and trained with me. It really spurred me on!”
