Local MP Nick Palmer and the Pro Vice Chancellor for Research, Professor Don Grierson, were present for this momentous occasion.
A plaque commemorating the support of Julia Girling who raised over £10,000 for FRAME over her lifetime was unveiled. 
The new FRAME laboratories, under the directorship of Dr Andrew Bennett, will continue research which will ultimately contribute to the phasing out of animal tests.
