Lhasa Symposium: New Horizons in Toxicity Prediction
Lhasa Limited are holding their inaugural symposium at the University of Cambridge, on 8–9 December, 2008.

This symposium will explore various current approaches to toxicity prediction, covering and comparing the tools and methods available today.

The Bill Annett Annual Lecture
The Kennel Club in London, once again, extended its hospitality to guests attending the 9th Annual lecture. The event was attended by Lord Soulsby of Swaffham Prior, patron of FRAME. FRAME staff and Trustees and colleagues from the Home Office, industry, academia and scientiific and welfare organisations.
Dr Vicky Robinson, Chief Executive of the NC3Rs, gave this year's lecture.

The Aims of FRAME
FRAME was founded in 1969 to promote the concept of alternatives to the use of laboratory animals in medical research and toxicity testing
FRAME is dedicated to the scientific development, acceptance and use of methods that can be used instead of animal experiments.
FRAME recognises that animals may still have to be used in some circumstances but that with good experimental design the number of animals used can still be reduced, and the suffering of animals can often be kept to acceptable levels.
