Comment: Communication of the Three Rs Within Establishments: Some Problems and Solutions Report of a LASA Alternatives Section Meeting

Under the terms of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, researchers are required to ensure that they have considered all possibilities for the implementation of the Three Rs in proposed programmes of work. Better retrieval and dissemination of information on the Three Rs would make a major contribution to raising awareness of the possibilities for using alternatives and to helping licence applicants to meet this requirement. Establishments have responded to the need for better communication on the Three Rs with a variety of strategies, some more successfully than others.
