Long-term In Vitro Toxicity of 27 MEIC Chemicals on Hep G2 Cells

The Multicentre Evaluation of In Vitro Cytotoxicity (MEIC) study led to the development of a battery of in vitro tests, which formed the basis of a strategy for making predictions about the human systemic cytotoxicity of chemicals. Based on the results of the MEIC study and the finding that there were some “missing” tests, a new project, the Evaluation-guided Development of In Vitro Toxicity and Toxicokinetic Tests (EDIT) was initiated.
